The
Virginia Tech Academy of Teaching Excellence was founded in 1974.
The
members of the Academy of Teaching Excellence are past recipients
of three major teaching awards at Virginia Tech. The awards include
the William E. Wine Award, the University Sporn Award, and the Alumni
Teaching Award. Prior to 1981, there were different membership requirements
for the Academy.

Lists
of all past recipients of the awards recognized by the Academy of
Teaching Excellence are also available.
