December 3, 2007, 3:00 - 5:00 PM, Randolph 212 – Teaching Dossier.

February 1, 2008 - Nominations for Sporn DUE

Students should submit nominations for the Sporn Award directly to Dr. Bill Beal . From this pool of nominations, finalists will be chosen by the University Sporn Award Selection Committee.

March 14, 2008  - Deadline for Award Dossier Submissions.

Alumni Teaching Award

Last day to submit dossiers of the 2005 (if awarded after March 15, 2005), 2006, 2007, and 2008 college Certificates of Teaching Excellence recipients to the Academy Chair, Patricia Amateis (0212). For more information, go to Alumni Teaching Award Guidelines.

University Sporn Award

Deliver all Finalist dossiers to Dr. Bill Beal, 0306, chair of the University Sporn Award selection committee.

 W. E. Wine Award

Last day for College Wine chairs to submit nominations for the W.E. Wine Award to Gary Long(0212), chair of the University Wine Award Committee. For more information go to Wine Teaching Award Guidelines.

Late March - Alumni Teaching Award Selection Committee Meeting

Two award recipients for 2008 will be selected. Selection committee consists of the past three years' inductees (2008-2009) in the Academy of Teaching Excellence. Patricia Amateis chairs the committee.

April 2008 - W.E. Wine Award Selection Committee Meeting

Three award recipients for 2008 will be selected. Committee members (one representative from each college) bring a brief biography of their college's candidate. Gary Long chairs the committee.

April 2008 - Spring Academy of Teaching Excellence Meeting: Hillcrest Dining Hall. Reception at 6:30; Business Meeting at 7.

Agenda items: Guest Speaker, Induction of the new Academy Members; Elections for 2007-2008 officer positions; Updates about the Honors Program and CEUT.

Academy members are invited to participate in the academic procession.

September 2008 (TBA) - Annual Faculty/Staff Awards Ceremony and Dinner.
